First off, let's talk about the lipstick I received in the mail. I've hear nothing but positive things about the Dear My Blooming Lips Talk series of lipsticks. One friend did have a negative experience with the Princess Etoinette collection lipstick but I'm pretty sure it's because they bought an expired lipstick possibly because I certainly didn't have that experience with this lipstick that I bought.
The color I bought was BE107 which I assumed was going to be a nice nude color. It's more of a muted baby pink and I am not complaining. I've been looking for a nice cheap dupe of Candy Doll's "Ramune Pink" lippie and I think I have found it. I always used to adore the lip shades that Tsubasa Masuwaka would wear on her lips but every color I bought either was too bright or had a frost to it. So I was really thrilled to find a color that was very close to what I have been aiming for, for years and at half the price! It color is very pigmented and I'm pretty pleased about that. I was fearing that because it was a Korean brand lipstick it wouldn't pack a punch. In Korea they aim for a light natural look so pigment isn't really as much of a priority as it is here in the States or maybe elsewhere. I'm happy to say that this lipstick has a nice pigment and isn't just a tinted balm or something!
The formula is very creamy and hydrating. It's not a 'dry' lipstick and for that I'm very happy. Nothing is worse than having a really hard to apply dry lipstick and on top have dry mouth to boot. I also run into the problem of drinking water or something so my mouth won't be as dry and then a dry lipstick just up and not wanting to apply nice. So how Etude House you gave me a GREAT lipstick.
Along with that, the lipstick smells like roses! For some people maybe that's kind of an 'eghhh' sign but I don't mind it at all. Some lipsticks have a horrible smell and taste so I appreciate that it smells floral-y.
On top of that the lipstick packaging is so CUTE. Ughhh!!! I love how princess-like it is. Most of the Etude House stuff is really nicely packaged and that's great for when I throw things in my bag. Nothing is better than pulling out a product to touch up and everyone swoon over how aesthetically pleasing your make up is and ask where the hell you got it from.
In all I love this lipstick. I can't wait to purchase more shades. I think I know where to go for bright fun pink/coral/neutral lip shades now!
Let's go on to the Fresh Cherry Tint shall we? So I got a sample pack of this when I brought my Precious Mineral BB Cream a bit back (which is ALSO Etude House btw) but I've used it enough to deem a review on it I think. First off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LIPTINT. I have the red shade and it's so perfect. I can not get over this. I have a PeriPera tint and it's a great dark red tint with a watery consistency. But this stuff is a milky tint and it does leave a nice stain. I am absolutely in love. Boy how I WANT a full size. I'm probably going to buy a full size because this is just an amazing tint.
First off don't let the stock photo fool you because it's not red and it doesn't look like that on the lips. The color is more of a candy pink/red. Which I don't mind at all. It's not red but it's not pink, but it's for sure not the hot pink shade. I don't even know how to explain this color but it's great. I love how unique it is. I've been using a lip brush to apply it and I really love the formula. Much like the lipstick it's very hydrating. And unlike my water tint, THIS ISN'T MESSY. Praise Jesus. Nothing is worse than having to suck at your teeth because the tint gets all over your teeth. It's just a messy. This is such a nice hydrating milky consistency that it doesn't go anywhere but your lips. And I appreciate that Etude House.
The smell of this stuff is also great. It smells like cherry candy or something. I don't even know how to explain it. The taste if you do happen to lick your lips or something isn't that horrible either. I don't know how to explain what Etude House products smell like because I'm sure they add scents according to color and what they name stuff as. Point is, it smells great.
Here I used both products together to create a really pretty and delicate gradient lip!
This is the lip look I've been doing recently when I do my make up. I absolutely adore it. It makes my lips look really girly and everyone is always asking when I go to school what lipstick I'm using on my lips and it's actually a bit of a gradual process to get this look!
Here is the Tutorial I did for it down below:
